This time there will be no Higher Secondary (HSC) or equivalent examination due to coronavirus.  These students will be assessed for HSC based on their JSC and SSC results.  This assessment will be done next December.

Education Minister Dipu Moni said this at an online press conference on Wednesday.

The education minister said the decision has been taken to assess the 2020 HSC exam in a different way without taking it directly.  This time HSC students have come up with two public exams.  The results of HSC will be determined according to the average of their JSC and SSC results.  An expert committee has been formed to evaluate those who have changed departments in HSC (someone from science to commerce or humanities) after passing SSC.  This committee will fix the issue of students changing departments.

Asked what would happen to higher education admissions after passing HSC, the education minister said it would not be appropriate to say now how admissions to higher education would be.  It will be decided after discussion how to get admission in the universities.
